PhillyBeer2112 (2084), Orange Park, Florida, USA Aug 7, 2009 Copper color, foamy head. Grassy aroma with a grainy background that also hinted at sweet dough or toffee. Or is it butterscotch? Sweetish butterscotch malts take precedent in the flavor with a grassy hop finish that is balanced and not very bitter. Decent enough but a touch more "euro strong lager" than pilsner. beachbum25 (778), Powellville, Maryland, USA Oct 18, 2008 On tap @ the Brewpub-Clear golden color w/a moderate white head. Light, grassy, dry hop aroma. Crisp, clean flavor of dry hops, grass/grain, & bread dough w/just a touch of sweetness. Very easy drinking, sesson type brew. Good balance; not overly hopped. One of the best brews offered during my visit. vyvvy (2023), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA Sep 27, 2008 Pours hazy yellow with a large soapy white head. The aroma has pils malt that is a bit fuller than normal with a hint of butter and not much as far as hops. Medium crisp body with a good amount of sharp carbonation. The flavor has clean smooth pils malt with some spicy hops with a bit of medicinalness. The finish is mildly sour. Okay beer. mj (4975), Colorado, USA Jul 23, 2008 22oz bottle pours bright, clear yellow with a nice looking medium-thick white head. Nose of candied biscuit malts, light, grassy, dry hops, some greeness, some twang, but overall fairly nice and inviting. Taste is crisp, wet, hoppy, and full on the palate; resinous honey flavored cracker malts and oily, sharp hop leaves... there’s something just really odd about this beer, the texture and fullness and freshness is impressive, and a strong flavor resembling Belgian candy sugar throughout the drink is both surprising and enjoyable. dkachur (2318), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Jun 30, 2008 Bomber from Wine Warehouse. Reddish-orange pour with a medium head. Bready aroma with hints of grass and skunk. Taste is sweet, bitter, bready. Fruity notes. Medium body. KieferUGA (461), Atlanta, Georgia, USA May 30, 2008 Bottle courtesy of alexanderj, shared with kleyland. Pours a clear, gold color. Large, fluffy white head. Pretty good aroma, tons of bready malt. Flavor is ok. Some citrus notes with buttered biscuits. Not my favorite style, but a nice beer out of VA. obguthr (986), Poquoson, Virginia, USA Apr 23, 2008 Aroma is skunky and feety grain. Gold color, thick white head. Sweet corn taste, grass on the palate. Much too sweet and hopless. Not typical of the brewer’s ability. joshwilfong (769), Cleveland, Ohio, USA Feb 4, 2008 dark appearance for a pilsner with a very nice thick white head. mild carbonation and flawlessly clear. flavor does not have that classic pilsner malt flavor but does have the nice subtle hop character. an interesting version
