Maybe its the Halertauer and Tettnang that threw off the Saaz aroma, but the hopping didin’ttaste right for the style either. However, it was a good beer. BuckNaked (1209), Tempe, Arizona, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 31, 2005 Bottle: Clear pale straw yellow with a medium frothy white head. This smells pretty mild. I get scents of salty yeast, grassy hops, light malt, bread, honey, and flowers. Taste is floral hops, grains, fruity yeast, and a bit of salty malt syrup. Light bodied, medium carbonation, nice crisp mouthfeel.

Poured into a Pilsner glass, this produced a tall head of white that stayed for a considerable time, fed from below by multiple microscopic bubble streams through a clear golden beer.
Malty aroma that carries some bread and honey and flowery hops.
Smooth and sweet in the beginning to end a bit dry with some nice hop bitterness to it. Very nice. jeffin7 (610), Silver Spring, Maryland, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 19, 2005 Pours transparent amber with a large white head that fades to a medium head. Aroma is of soft slightly grassy, floral hops and pale malt. Flavor is soft floral hops, a mild light fruitiness, some raw grain, and a smooth clean malt. Finish carries in a bit of bitter grassyness. Very full pilsner and very drinkable. The fruit, bitter floral hopiness, and delicate pale malts layer on each other very well. shameusburp (171), Virginia, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 14, 2005 I was mostly impressed by the body of this pilsenser (and I’m usually much more interested in the mind...) - Full and thick with pale malts, but never becoming overly sweet or sticky. Great dusty/grassy hops in the aroma and finish. Golden bubbly, big pillowy head, good lacing. Nice grassy finish. Purchased at Whole Foods near D.C. near my cousin David’s place. desurfer (1068), Pinellas Park, Florida, USA

Aroma is herbal and sweet, with some grassy hop notes. Flavor is sweet and dry with a nice hop presence, some straw and grass character. Dry, tart finish. Good beer.
