Nose is lemony and grassy with lighter maltiness. Light bread notes as well. Taste is slightly bitter with grassy hops, more malt, sourdough bread and light citrus. Body is full and refreshing. Finishes with more citrus, but an odd rubbery note in amongst the grass and hops. Good beer nonetheless. crzybob77 (528), Richmond, Virginia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 29, 2004 Light golden color. Sweet lemon flavor with some bitterness in the background. Crisp and refreshing. This is good, but nothing too special. But, then again i don’t think I have ever had a pilsner that was too intrigueing. I’d say legends did about the best is possible with this style. PeterA (339), Virginia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 13, 2004 Faint aroma, but what’s there is fruity and sweet. The appearance is good, a golden color with a white head. The hops in the flavor are pleasantly mild. Mouthfeel is good, not too sticky. The aftertaste is slightly bitter. This is a pleasant well balanced beer. argo0 (7006), Washington DC, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 10, 2004 Updated: Mar 29, 2005Picture perfect pour - deep golden with a thick white head. The second half of the bomber shows tons of tiny floating particles. Aroma is herbal, floral and grassy. There’s also a hint of sourness in the nose. The taste also includes the qualities in the aroma plus chech saaz hops, grains, lemon and some sweet maltiness. Bitter bite on the back end which lingers. Mouthfeel is great on this one - very smooth and creamy, not as much carbonation as in other pilsners. Great lacework and head retention. Recommended. zathrus13 (1316), Mount Laurel, New Jersey, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 27, 2004 Hazy golden color with a tall fluffy white head. Full aroma of both herbal and floral hops; different, but intriguing. Mild pale malt in the backdrop. Lightly grainy malt with flavors of mild lemon grass and some dry spice. Seems a bit closer to a dort than a pils. Full malt flavors with a mild acidic bite. Looking at the range of ratings it looks like there could be some packaging faults present. Reminds me of Bürgerbräu Wolnzacher Hell. Thanks to Jeffc666 for this brew.

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 5/5 | 11/20 | Aug 6, 2004 Bottle: Lasting white head ona lightly hazed golden body. Immediate nose of DMS/corn. Lightly grainy malt & faint floral hop. Hints of diacetyl, gets stronger as is warms. Flavor is grainy malt w/ a very light diacetyl. Well balanced; finish is on the lighlty malt flavored side w/ some corn sweetness. Dry, somewhat astringent m/f, higher carbonation & lighter, but not watery body. Unfortunately DMS dominates this one! There is some grainy malt and it’s not a bad pilsner, but not a great one either.
