| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 12, 2009 This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a large sized head of foamy finely sized bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a transparent typically carbonated golden brown colored body. The mild aroma was brown malt and brown chocolate. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of mild brown malt and mild nut. A decent one that I would consider buying again, but where’s the bock flavor?. 17thfloor (1504), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 2, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours a dark slightly murky chestnut color with a fine creamy beige head, not bad. Aroma of some med/hard roast, light coffee, chocolate, caramel, lightly fruity, hint of bread/munich 5.5. Flavor is some hard roast, dark, lightly acidic, with off-setting sweet fruitiness, corn-flaky sweetness a bit disjointed, some tootsie-roll, finishing quicker and slightly bready. Med/light bodied with a lighter feel, a touch of syrupiness with lots of soda carbonation 2.5. rampmaster (322), Alden, New York, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Aug 30, 2009 Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12oz bottle into a pint glass. There was no freshness date on the bottle.
Appearance: The body has good clarity and a dark brownish color with a nice big fluffy head on top. The head is white in color and doesn’t hang out for long. Before it settles down to just a wispy thin layer it does make a few lace rings on the glass.
Smell: Its aroma is full of sweet malt and dark bready notes.
Taste/Mouth: The flavor has a sweet and bready character with caramel notes, soft pretzel, and light nutty notes. The finish adds some mild hop notes for balance and a little dryness. Still overall it finishes on the sweet side. On the palate it has a good medium to full body with nice active carbonation and a smooth slick texture.
Notes: This bock was very tasty and easy drinking.

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 17, 2009 12oz bottle from local Hannaford. Pours a dark copper body with a short-lived inch of off-white head. Caramel, toffee, chocolate, and floral hops all characterize the aroma. Tastes like chocolate, coffee, toffee, caramel, with some grassy and floral hops, in almost equal parts. On the lighter side of medium-bodied with ample carbonation, making this an easy drinker. A solid beer, not what I think of when I think of bock, but mighty tasty and I’ll probably be picking this one up again.
