Commercial Description:
Leinenkugel 1888 Bock, a lucisous brew, originally created to serve lumberjacks, will be available for all who want to try its excellent boutique of Caramel, Pale and two-row Chocolate malts. Cluster hops add a touch of citrus character and when combined with Munich malts and a 20- to 25-day cold lagering process, you have a truly timeless beer.

Bottle. Moderate malt aromas of dark bread and toasted, light herbs and dough for the hops and yeast, with vanilla and brown sugar in the background. Head is frothy/fizzy, off-white with good lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is sparkling clear dark copper. Flavor starts light to moderately sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes lightly acidic. Palate is lightly to medium, watery yet a touch creamy, with a lively carbonation and a metallic finish. A pretty good effort by Leinenkugel’s, probably my favorite from them to date.

Eh....typical Leine brew.....somewhat decent aroma of malt....flavor is pretty bland...not much hops to speak of.

Overall quite dissapointing. Pours a deep amber brown color. Tastes very watered down, with slight hints of chocolate and nuts if you are really trying hard to detect some flavor. Lacks any real aftertaste, and not as malty as I would have preferred. Its easily drinkable though and goes down smoothly.

12 oz bottle from Archer Liquors. Nothing special, just a tick. Pours dark amber red/brown with a pillowy light tan head. Aroma is malty and grainy with some small spiciness and some very light caramel and toffee notes. Flavor is unimpressive very light malty notes and a thin watery finish.

A medium brown beer with a fizzy head. Not much to smell and the flavor is simple malty sweetness. Very fizzy and soda-like in texture. Drinkable but far removed from what the style should taste like.

Browish amber with a small white head. Thin malt aroma. Bread-like bock flavor, heavy on the malt. A touch of grain. Not bad at all. Probably my favorite so far from this brewer.

Bottle thanks to the bosses, had at home. Aroma is fairly minimal, brown ale malts, a bit grainy and a fruity light sharp bittersweet almondness. Taste is grainy brown malts, bit minerally, earthy hop, herbal and bittering in the finish. Not my style of beer.

One of my favorite leines beers. Had it on tap and kept them coming and coming after it refreshed the palate. Great dard appearance and an aroma that will get you hooked
