Poured a dark brown ice tea color with a thin short lived tan head. Aroma was. . . not much. Maybe a little bready, maybe a bit of malt. Nothing really comes to the front. Flavor was just a bit malty and maybe a little nutty. It’s smooth, I’ll give it that, but so is water.

Sampled on 4/19/2009. This bock pours a medium orange gold color from a 12 oz bottle. Small sized white foamy head with good retention. The aroma is caramel, bready, sweet, with a touch of nuttiness. Medium bodied bock. The malts are caramel, fruity and sweet. The hops are earthy. Nice balance. Good carbonation. Touch of chocolate. It’s a bit thin for a bock, but then I sort of expect a bock to be very full and chewy. This beer falls short of that, but still has a full and round mouthfeel. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Bours a beautiful dark brown with a thick tan colored head, the aroma is of nuts and malt, although a bit subdued aroma. The flavor is malty, a bit nutty, but again a bit subdued and not as powerful as I would have liked

12oz. bottle. Aroma of sweet, nutty malts, caramel and toffee, along with faint cocoa and a faint herbal tinge. Clear medium brown color with a lasting, fine, ivory head and thin strands of lace. Flavor is malty, fruity and very mildly bitter, with suggestions of caramel sweetness, red apple skin, dark bread and cola. Low to moderate degree of effervescence, body is light-medium. Some fading metallic hints at the finish. Passable but not exciting, like much of this brewery’s output.

Draft at some bar downtown chicago... Pours a nice looking clear brown. Nose is toasty and sweet, distinct graininess and some roast. Taste is pretty soft and almost bland. Very easy to drink, light roast, dry finish. Not the worst I’ve had, though there’s no "citrus character" to be found...

Pours a reddish/copper with a tan head. Lots of malts on the nose with bread, caramel, and a touch of coffee. Taste has a toasty malt character to it. Not much character in the way of hops but hey when a beer is this malty I’m ok with it. Long finish to it too. Very pleasant brew, I’ll be buying this again
