(12oz bottle, courtesy of mar) Pours a clear deep amber body with a small off-white head. Rancid aroma of grain, manure, caramel, and nuts. Flavor of peanut brickel, mild hops (grass, light citrus), caramel malt, and toasted grain.

Bottle thanks to the bosses, had at home. Aroma is fairly minimal, brown ale malts, a bit grainy and a fruity light sharp bittersweet almondness. Taste is grainy brown malts, bit minerally, earthy hop, herbal and bittering in the finish. Not my style of beer.

Pours a transparent copper amber with a thin, wispy-lacing off-white head. Aroma of sweet toasty caramel malt and some noble hops with a touch of lager yeast character. Starts with average fullness and mild caramely malty notes drying out toward a clean finish. Pretty drinkable, but could be a little more fuller flavored.

Handsome pour from the bottle, a deep caramel/amber body with a tall, sustained light tan head and loads of lacing. The aroma is sweet and malty with a splash of caramel and some burnt chocolate. The flavor is like chocolate chip cookie dough with a dash of caramel and a light earthy bitterness. Not bad. Purchased at Wise Guys in Merrillville, IN.

Copper to umber in color with a taller beige head, fairly lasting and some decent lace 3+. Caramel and lightly toasted malt scent. Not as big of a malty scent as I would like, but not artificial like many a bock out there. Light caramel start that leads to a bit to toasted malt. Hints of floral hops and a touch of grapefruit zest. Noble hops would be nicer, but there is a decent balance. Finishes with the citrus and the linger does lead to a munich malt. Palate is a touch light and prickly. The linger has a lot of character that saves this one from being just another dark lager with some caramel color/flavor.

Bottle from Keg Liquor. Poured clear deep brown with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate complex toasted sweet malty aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Moderate balanced malty sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Good drinkable brew.
