This has a nice ruby color, a full but not thick body, and a nice subtle sweetness to it. I have rated this style low in the past but would have retry some others to give it a fair shake. This is good thought and I can give it a nice score BigBen2120 (688), Derry, New Hampshire, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 17, 2009 12oz bottle from local Hannaford. Pours a dark copper body with a short-lived inch of off-white head. Caramel, toffee, chocolate, and floral hops all characterize the aroma. Tastes like chocolate, coffee, toffee, caramel, with some grassy and floral hops, in almost equal parts. On the lighter side of medium-bodied with ample carbonation, making this an easy drinker. A solid beer, not what I think of when I think of bock, but mighty tasty and I’ll probably be picking this one up again.

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jan 7, 2009 A dark brown lager with a 2 inch creamy off white head, but it only lasts a few minutes. Aroma of pale and dark malt and weak, but present hops. Flavor is strong and well balanced with a medium amount of caramel, traditional barley, and cluster hops. Body is medium-light and mouthfeel light and rich, but just a tinge too sweet, creamy and bitter. A great session bock. Easy to drink and drinks too easy. NeoHippie2 (177), Louisville, Kentucky, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 14, 2009 Pours a reddish/copper with a tan head. Lots of malts on the nose with bread, caramel, and a touch of coffee. Taste has a toasty malt character to it. Not much character in the way of hops but hey when a beer is this malty I’m ok with it. Long finish to it too. Very pleasant brew, I’ll be buying this again rampmaster (322), Alden, New York, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Aug 30, 2009 Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12oz bottle into a pint glass. There was no freshness date on the bottle.
Appearance: The body has good clarity and a dark brownish color with a nice big fluffy head on top. The head is white in color and doesn’t hang out for long. Before it settles down to just a wispy thin layer it does make a few lace rings on the glass.
Smell: Its aroma is full of sweet malt and dark bready notes.
Taste/Mouth: The flavor has a sweet and bready character with caramel notes, soft pretzel, and light nutty notes. The finish adds some mild hop notes for balance and a little dryness. Still overall it finishes on the sweet side. On the palate it has a good medium to full body with nice active carbonation and a smooth slick texture.
Notes: This bock was very tasty and easy drinking.

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 8, 2009 Not bad - attains a craft brew feel. A bit dark and I would expect a slightly cleaner finish from a bock of this strength, but flavor of malt comes though well. Could detect a distint caramel flavor as well. jebert (122), Watertown, Wisconsin, USA

Aroma is malt and vanilla. Mouthfeel is full bodied and creamy. Taste is of roasted barley, vanilla and a hint of nuts. Finish is neither sweet nor bitter, just satisfying. Pairs well with cheese and crackers, snacks, or with burgers, brats or hot dogs. Thanks, Leines, for bring back this tasty brew! timjertson (26), Waseca, Minnesota, USA

Nice mallty taste with a hint of the grain. A bit nutty with toasted sugar notes, with a full mouth and a slight astrigency at the end. Balanced.
