Commercial Description:
Leine's Amber Light is a new kind of light beer - a light beer with color and flavor. Brewed with 2-Row Pale brewer's malt, Munich and Carmel malt for a lightly flavored body. These barley malts also give Leine's Amber Light its beautiful amber color. A light hopping with Cascade and Cluster hops provides a well-balanced, smooth, light flavor and drinkable finish.

Barely dark enough to call itself "amber" - more like deep golden. Pours a decent sized white head, and actually left nice lacing all the way down. Body is thick at the front and thin and bubbly at the back. Thinly caramel malts, very little hops - just a tiny bit at the end. Not bad for a "light" beer - 110 calories, I guess that's allright.

Bottled. At least they didn’t just stick a Leinie’s label on a Miller Lite. Actually seems to have been brewed to be lighter, instead of just watered down. I couldn’t catch any corn notes, and I see no one else mentioned adjuncts. Get points for being noticeably darker than most lites, but this ain’t amber, Jake. Just some malt taste, not much other character besides "beer," and a litttle gassy. Okay as light beers go, but I can’t see too many situations where this would be the best choice you could have. And if you’re going to be light in your grain bill, what’s wrong with a few more hops for flavor, eh?

Amber in the color, medium sized fizzyt head, quickly disapating. Sweet and caramel with a hint of floral aroma. Heavily carbonated. Sweet and grain flavor. Not much in the way of hoppiness

I've not had a better light, which isn't saying much. Weak color and head, light golden color. Unimpressive.

Not a bad beer among American Standards, with a decent, crisp flavor, light lager aroma, and nice color. This one just needs some more depth or strength of flavor and aroma to be a really good beer.

Nice golden color, very slight head that faded fast to nothing. It has an almost wheaty smell with some malt, hops and slight hint of lemon in it's aroma.Very watery feel to it the flavor are even lighter just faint hints of malt a little stronger hop presence but very little. There is also that even fainter taste of lemon. This is a pretty poor brew from these guys and if it wern't for the carbonation i would think this was water.A very forgettable beer, that might work for you on a hot day but just doesn't do it for me now.

110 calories per 12 oz bottle. Tastes like a light vienna. A lot of crappy light beer drinkers said they like this stuff.
