Commercial Description:
Leine's Amber Light is a new kind of light beer - a light beer with color and flavor. Brewed with 2-Row Pale brewer's malt, Munich and Carmel malt for a lightly flavored body. These barley malts also give Leine's Amber Light its beautiful amber color. A light hopping with Cascade and Cluster hops provides a well-balanced, smooth, light flavor and drinkable finish.

Scent of corn, my biking shoes, and some honey. Light amber color. Fizzy body with a hint of corn. Thanks to Skyview for sharing.

Leinenkugels appears to have gotten away from the blue label "Light" version they had to this. Unfortunately, like the blue "light" version, this version is not as easy to find as say the original, red or Honey Weiss. In fact, I can only find this at one grocery store in my town. Good tasting light beer. I’d say the only better light beers out there are the Sam Adams and Amstel Lights.

Okay class, for today’s language lesson.........Leinenkugel Amber Light means "Licking a Skunk’s Ass". The bad thing is, I was about 6 beers in when I tried this. God help those who try it as their first beer iof the day.

I am not nor have I ever been a fan of "light" beers. I bought a 24 case of Leinie’s and got six Amber Lights, six Creamy Dark Lagers, six Honey Weiss and six Reds. I always cringe when I reach in the refrigerator and my hand lands on one of these Amber Lights. I promise myself to drink the first beer I grab. If money were no object, I would just pour the Amber Lights down the drain, but I was taught not to waste money. The beer had a nice pretty orange color with beige head. The beer itself had better color than most commercial light beers, but still not much more satisfying flavor. There was a hint of corn flavor and an aftertaste that reminded me of aspirin. If you feel like you really need a light beer, this one is probably a little better and no worse than the other lights. The head tasted bland and it was only about 1/2 inch tall. Also, the carbonation was excessive and it made the beer taste like weak 7-Up. The aroma was nothing special, just smelled like weak beer and a note of hops. To light beer drinkers I would say cut calories elsewhere in your diet and savor the taste of a decent stout, red or dark beer.

I tell you what if i AM going to drink a lite beer, this should be it. Being it is a light, it obvisouly isnt going to be as flavorfull as a full powered brew. Real nice color though, and i still purchase from time to time.

(bottle - 12 oz) Clear copper color with not much of a head and very little carbonation. Aroma is sweet and malty with some candy hints as well. Really sweet for a pale lager. Very light flavor with a slight hint of hops in the middle and a touch of sweet fruits near the end. Very thin-bodied and extremely watery.
