Very cider like aroms - lots of apple. Flavor of more apple and a finish of cinammon. Seems closer to a cider than a beer. SledgeJr (2970), Omaha, Nebraska, USA

Big candy apple flavor. Flavor reveals good apple tartness and cinnamon. This seems to be a hybrid beer/cider, but definitely not cyser. Lacks the original gravity from honey or malt to get there. Thinness hurts it, but tastes good cold. Silphium (2144), Haslett, Michigan, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 18, 2006 Clear light straw body, thick off-white head. Aroma of a tart apple jolly rancher, suggesting beer is not the priority here. Strong apple flavor, with definite cinnamon notes on the finish, but preserving a solid natural fruit palate. And, what credit does a beer deserve for making ample use of fresh apples but little use of hops and malt? Tough questions for tough times. valpoaj (363), Valparaiso, Indiana, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Dec 17, 2006 Poured a bottle out of curiosity, since I’m often a fan of a heavily flavored fruit beer (in isolation). This beer was over the top in my opinion. The scent was reminiscent of a glass of hot apple cider, and almost led me to think that this ’beer’ would be better served warm. That being said, the aroma was very pleasing. Very spicy, and in some ways intriguing, the apple flavor is overwhelming and after a while, somewhat sickeningly sweet; and again, I am a fan of many light and/or fruit brews. Felt this beer more strongly resembled a hard cider than a beer, and felt that the aftertaste left on the palate was somewhat fake tasting. beer30 (3), SCS, Michigan, USA does not count | 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Dec 16, 2006 Nice fruit beer. Despite the fruity qualities, it doesn’t make me think of a "fu-fu drink." Pale, golden color with a white head, at first not unlike the texture of creamy meringue. The aroma is like that of fresh apple pie! A slight cinnamon-spicy-sweetness in the aroma and the flavor complements the fresh apples nicely. An excellent dessert beer, or by itself as an aperitif! Extremely drinkable, I could also see this pairing with lighter meats, such as pork or veal! Nuffield (2724), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 13, 2006 Bottle. Moderate yellow, loose head. I know we’re not supposed to like these beers, but gosh darnit if this isn’t compellingly drinkable--especially for my wife. Distinctly sweet with a cider-like quality, laden with cinnamon and a hint of nutmeg perhaps, for a profile that reminds me of a very crass gas-station apple pastry with cheap white frosting. But you know what, it’s not bad! Delirium (502), Santa Cruz, California, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Dec 12, 2006 Bottle. Pours pale yellow with a moderate white head. Aroma is mulled apple cider---apples, apple skins, cinammon, and cloves. Flavor is like moderately spiced cider, with a bit of noticeable fermentation producing an odd sour note. If I had tasted this blind I would probably have placed it as cider rather than beer. It’s not terrible if you like cider, but somewhat artificial tasting, and the sour note gets annoying as it warms up.
