Aroma was full of berries with an undertone of wheat. Flavor had an awkward combination of berries (rasp, blue, black and straw) with the same wheat undertone. coldmeat23 (233), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 9, 2009 Pours a nice clear amber with a definite pink hue to it. Nice 1 - 2 finger pinkish head with good retention and nice lacing.
The smell is very nice, indeed. Very fruity. Raspberries and blackberries stand out above all else. Not unlike a Lambic, as far as the smell goes.
Raspberries hit the tongue first, followed by a little bit of blackberries and maybe some cherries on the end. Cherry could be something else, I’m not 100% sure. A little bit of malt down deep and a touch of honey. There’s no hint of alcohol in the taste, just a little tiny bit of warmth in the belly.
Feels very smooth in the mouth. A little lighter than expected, but this works to it’s advantage.
Very easy to drink as long as you don’t mind the sweetness. Would be a great beer on a hot summer day. kmyers8807 (29), Ohio, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Oct 29, 2009 I am going to rate this higher because it was a very enjoyable fruit beer. the smell was of respberry, with a taste following the same suit. I Would say its more of a girl beer. williamherbert (466), Syracuse, New York, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 17, 2009 Cloudy dark pink color with a foamy white head. Thickness of a darkly pink iced tea. Formidable!
A slightly sour, tart dark berry aroma. Combination of raspberry and maybe blueberry? The sourness keeps it from going to a too-sweet place.
First sip is a sour, puckery berry. Does have a wheaty backbone which has a good, dry counterpunch. It’s got a lot of disparate flavors. Not exactly a symphony, but it’s a nice selection of tastes within the beer anyhow. Gets better as it warms up.
Feels smooth and milky. Leaves a big film which remains for a while. It’s a sweet drink that is much thicker than expected. Really pleasant and balanced sweetness and sour. 80sjeff19 (5), Madison, Wisconsin, USA does not count | 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Oct 11, 2009 My first few sips of this I really enjoyed-tasted like a combination of berry wine and beer, but after awhile the fake berry taste got to be too much. The overwhelming sweetness just didn’t sit well with me. My least favorite Leinie’s brew. checkmatei1 (630), Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Oct 7, 2009 Bottle: Poured an amber color without much head. The aroma was wheat and fruit. The flavor was weak fruit and a weak excuse for a wheat. Overall, weak. jake65 (1698), Williston, North Dakota, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Sep 27, 2009 Bottle. A reddish amber color with a small off-white head. Smells like a mixed berry spritzer, tastes similar. A little malty before the artificial fruit flavoring takes over. Lame. jarndyce (38), Idaho, USA

This is a fruit beer that needs more of the beer and less of the fruit. I like the concept, but this has too much of a cough syrup, sugary beverage flavor. A slight wheat back note can be detected, but it’s not enough. This is not something I’d drink again or at Thanksgiving, but I think it might be a beer to introduce beers to someone who hates beer.
