Very Sweet, this doesn’t really taste like beer. It is very popular with girls on campus for some reason.

Leinenkugel Berry Weiss ABV: 4.7% Calories: estimated at 150 C Volume: 12 fl oz Glass: 4 oz stem goblet Purchased at: West Trenton Wine & Liquors Explorer Pack Price per fl oz: $13 / 144 fl oz = $0.09 per fl oz Consumed at: Home sensory first impression: Heavy berry scent, very sweet, like a lightly carbonated fruit juice. Not bad, but not very mindful of beer in my opinion. Reminds me personally of a wine cooler. Color is beautiful. Scent and taste are good, and there is some depth to the flavor. Aroma/Olfactory: 8 out of 10 Malt flavor is: syrupy, honey Hop flavor is: floral, herbs Yeast flavor is: dust, dry, small particles Other flavors include: cherry, orange, kiwi, watermelon Visuals/Appearance: 4 out of 5 Color is: bright, red, sunset, fiery, light ruby tinges Liquid is: clear, immaculate Head and lace are: translucent white, short lived, fleeting. Like pop. Taste/Flavor: 7 out of 10 Maltiness or Sweetness level is: heavy Hoppiness or Bitterness level is: none Sour level is: medium Palate/Tactile: 2 out of 5 Body or Mouthfeel is: light Texture is: thin, sticky, like soda. Not watery at all. Carbonation is: average Finish is: abrupt, sweet. Overall experience: 11 out of 20. I liked the aroma and color. I did not like the similarity to a fruit soda, though it might have its place paired with something heavy.

At first smell: It is very sweet, can definitely smell the berries. Color: A light red/purple color. Taste: Very sweet. Almost like a wine cooler. It’s not too bad for a flavored beer but I think this is more for someone who likes wine coolers.

Pours a hazy amber pink color with a nice short lived head. In all honesty if you gave this to me blind-folded I might not guess it was even a beer. Lots of raspberry flavor, but not a whole lot else going on. My wife loves this beer because she’s got the Wisconsin loyalty going. It’s easy to drink, but not especially well balanced. I could down a couple of these on a hot day and not complain.

Very berry to say the least. Would go well with dessert. Might even be okay OVER ice cream.

12oz bottle from Tiger Town in Gardiner. Pours a hazy pinkish-amber body with a good inch of pinkish-white head. Smells like raspberry and perhaps some strawberry and/or cranberry thrown in. Tastes predominantly like strawberry and raspberry and very little else. Pretty dry finish. Light bodied with an awful lot of carbonation. Pretty drinkable, though it’d be better if it were a bit sweeter or more malty IMO. Okay, but not sure it’s something I’d get again.

Aroma is full and strongly of raspberry - and I love raspberry. It pours a curious pinkish amber, unusual but not unappetizing. Flavor is mainly fruity, more like a cider than a beer, but crisp and tasty - the raspberry dominates the malt. If you love raspberry, this beer should wet your whistle.
