| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Mar 8, 2008 Pours a transparent orangish red color with decent head that fades quickly. Strong aroma of berries with some hoppiness. Smooth flavor of berries and carbonation with some malt and hoppiness. It just doesn’t sit well with me - I don’t think my stomach can decide if it’s a wine-cooler or a beer. unclemike (834), Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Mar 7, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pours a raspberry color with a moderate, pale pink head that actually lasted through most of the glass. The aroma was definitely berry. The flavor was all about the berries. Definitely on the sweet side, but also some tartness from the berries. This reminded me more of a raspberry iced tea than a beer. There was no noticeable malt or hops flavor present. I think most beer purists would dislike this brew as it doesn’t taste like beer at all. If, on the other hand, you enjoy berries (which I do), this beer will be more appealing.

tastes like a fruit juice
its saving grace is that it tastes like juicy juice, which is a kickass juice
but still, poor beer. Kands (20), USA
| 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 1/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 5/20 | Mar 4, 2008 We didn’t like this one very much at all. Poured from the bottle an off-putting pinkish color with a soda-pop like fizziness and head. The aroma was very raspberry, with some blueberry also noticeable. It drank much like an Alka-Seltzer -- it was that carbonated. It was so carbonated, in fact, that it was hard to tell what it really tasted like. Whatever the actual taste was, we didn’t like it. In fairness to this brew, however, our two older daughters (of drinking age :-) both actually liked it and said that, as a wine cooler type of beverage, it was pretty good. Maybe it’s just named and marketed incorrectly. DrHomolka (728), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Feb 28, 2008 I didn’t buy this. Pours a light pink with a fizzy, small white head that doesn’t stick around long. This has the most feminine appearance I’ve seen in a beer. Aroma is intense raspberries and blueberry pie. It doesn’t smell that bad, honestly. Not much typical beer aroma exists underneath all the sweet, candied fruits. Taste is mildly sweet, pretty watery with a faint jolly rancher type flavor in there and a watery finish. Kind of reminds me of Cherry 7-Up or whatever that flavor is. This isn’t bad really, there just isn’t much flavor at all, good or bad. Certainly not up my alley but I could see how someone who wasn’t into beer could dig this. Head is initially average sized, frothy/fizzy, light pink, mostly lasting.
Body is medium pinkish-amber.
Aroma is lightly malty (grain, husks), with notes of cherry cough syrup, random berry candy.
Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter.
Medium body, syrupy/watery texture, lively/fizzy carbonation.
Ehhh. Unpleasant artificial soda pop / cough syrup aroma, and quite sweet. Enough acidity (and some bitterness too) to keep it from being a complete mess, but barely. Firemoose15 (540), Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Feb 26, 2008 Bottle. Lots of berries in there I guess. Aroma was very much so. Poured a pinkish hue, white fizzy head. Flavor was berry then a weird sort of wheatish cereal. Palate was okay nothing speakable. Overall, it’s a fruity beer. bigrond (1049), factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA
