Bottle from Total Wine. Pours a pinkish orange color with no head. Aroma of berries is overwhelming. Taste is very berry as well, is this a mixed drink? I liked it, but it’s downfall is that it does not seem like it is a beer when drank.

Draft at Woodys. Although not absolutely dreadful this beer does suck. Overpowering aroma of berries, it would of helped if the bartender told me this was a berry wheat beer instead of just a wheat beer. Flavor is like a bad wheat beer with artificial berry flavor and sugar mixed in. Nope didn’t like it and won’t drink it again.

5/30/2007: Leinenkugel’s Berry Weiss pours a mostly clear, salmon pink color with a foamy pink head that leaves some lacing. The sweet aroma is bursting with black raspberry and hints of other berries (strawberry and blackberry). The flavor is pretty sweet, but it is balanced out by some tart blackberries and a slight sourness in the wheaty finish. The body of this beer is light to medium-light and it has an ample level of carbonation. Some might argue that this is too much like a wine cooler, but it definitely has a malt backbone to it! Also, any beer that my wife is willing to drink gets bonus points from me since I can get some for here to take some of the heat off of me for all of the other beer I have accumulating in the cellar!

Mix-It-Up (Recommended by Leinenkugel’s): Create a Honey Bear by mixing Leinenkugel’s Berry Weiss with Leinenkugel’s Honey Weiss. it’s a "Honey" of a "Berry" treat! My wife and I tried this on 6/02/2007 and it was actually pretty good. The Honey Weiss isn’t as sweet an not fruity at all, so it really blends nicely with the sweet, fruity Berry Weiss to create a balanced, enjoyable beer with ample blackberry flavor with some honey and subtle floral flavors as well without being overly sweet. Plus, the resulting color is an interesting peach color with an off-white head. The mix of the two beers together is probably better than either one of them are on their own - true synergy! Go ahead and give it a try!

Draught at 69 Taps in Akron. Deep red color with no head or lacing. Aroma and flavor were dominated by artificial berries and was quite sugary. It did really taste like Kool-Aid

Pours a hazy purplish-red with a white head. Intense perfumy, blackberry aroma. Taste is very sweet, more like a berry soda with a kick. A bit cloying for my taste.

12oz. bottle from Tanaka. Pours pink in color, little head. Very, very sweet smell of berry, followed by a very, very sweet berry taste. Not a bad "fruity beer", but nothing I’m crazy about. I could have one occasionally.

Pours a deep orange with a nice head and lacing. Aroma is heavy with berries, obviously, as well as a hint a hop aroma. Has a decent taste, but not up my alley. Would drink again if I had to, but not my first choice for a fruit beer. Solid if you prefer dark berries

Thix tastes more like a wine cooler, than a beer. Still berry flavor is massively dominate. the malts are light but I find the rest of it to be refreshing. best for the summer
