2009 Bottle - "Fish are always eating other fish. If fish could scream, the ocean would be loud as shit. You would not want to submerge your head, nothing but fish going "Ahhh, fuck! I thought I looked like that rock!""

Cloudy dark peach pour with a white head. Fruity aroma with some wheat poking through. Very enjoyable flavor. Not too sweet as some fruit beers tend to be. Has an undertone of wheat to it. Frothy finish tingles the tongue towards the end, almost a grapefruit juice feel to it.

The best part of this beer was the appearance. This fruit beer poured a purplish color with a big and soft white head with great lacing. Other than that, this beer was pretty terrible. The nose was full of sweet berries, as was the body. This beer tasted more like an overly-carbonated sparking wine. The body was light and the flavors were way too sweet.

Leinenkugel’s Berry Weiss is a cloudy, dusty rose colored brew with a thin, dense, pinkish head that has good retention and lacing. The aroma is of berries and sugar and fruit wine. It’s medium bodied and sudsy, with a dry finish that’s a little scratchy. It’s quite sweet. The malt is almost unnoticeable. It tastes like sweet berry punch. Is this really beer?

Very carbonated. Pours a reddish pink color. Great flavor with good aftertaste. Very good casual beer. A beer you can drink a lot of.

Pours a purple-ish gold with a thin head. Aroma of berries with a slight hint of wheat. Berry flavor up front with soft wheat in the finish. Not the best fruit beer out there (not even close!), but htis is a good and refreshing summer quaffer.

Draft at WBF. Poured a light strawberry color with a good sized head. Aroma of sour berries and grain. Flavor wasn’t bad. Very berry-ish with a slight wheat finish. Palate was very fizzy. I actually liked this one.

Experienced from a 12oz bottle in a pub glass. The beer pours a reddish gold, perhaps from the addition of the fruit. Yet, given the fact that the company is owned by MillerCoors, I doubt it is really "real" fruit, and more likely extracts or concentrates. The aroma is essentially non-existent. I got no hint of hops, malt, or esters; only a touch of whatever essence hadn’t been fermented out from the fruit. The palate is somewhat more complex than the aroma. While there aren’t really any stand-out hop or malt notes, the fruit gives an acidity that makes the beer vaguely wine-like, although it may be a bit of a stretch to write that. Overall, this is a drinkable but not very good beer.
