Dec 28, 2005 I do like Leine’s beers, but this one is kinda weird. Its a well made beer, with a wonderful aroma, and great presentation, in fact I love all Leine’s presen. but this one just has a cheap candy/fruit flavor that just doesn’t sit right with me. If it was for the aroma and presentation, this beer would score a lot less with me.

Dec 10, 2005 A maroon-plum tint. Decent head and lacing—both fade fast. The smell of berries is present from the time the bottle is opened. A smooth but mildly tangy taste of berries. The taste doesn’t linger long at all.

Dec 6, 2005 Not bad! Very interesting brew, a taste you won’t find everywhere. Very sweet and fruity, a reddish, fizzy pink color. Worth a try just because you’ve never had anything like it. Easy to drink, but a bit too sweet to make a night out of.

Nov 13, 2005 One of those beers that I’ve had tons of times before, and always thought I’d rated, but never did. I finally took some notes when I had one at my in-law’s house, so here it goes:
Freakin’ pink in color with a small, totally diminishing white head. Raspberry aroma, very strong and sweet like Sweet Tarts candy, almost assuredly artificial. Very sweet flavor, cloyingly sweet as it warms. Carbonation is far too high. Liquid candy. It’s easy drinking, and doesn’t taste bad per se, but comes off more as a Kool Ade or wine cooler.

Nov 11, 2005 Updated: Apr 19, 2008Very Very Very berry. Very sweet. I guess if i wasnt in the mood to drink beer maybe this would be ok. I cant see how this can be called beer. I also dont get how this gets a 2.4 and Kuhnhenn Raspberry Eisbock gets a 4.4 similar strong flavor of fruit, huhn has more alcohol. that is about it oh well

Nov 9, 2005 Lovely juicy berry aroma, pretty pinkish-copper color, but too sweet for me, almost cough-syrupy with not enough hops or malt to balance out the berry. Maybe this would be more appropriate if the weather was hotter--I’ll try to remember to re-rate next summer.

Oct 23, 2005 light and very berry. excellent summer evening beer/cooler. cooler-esqe but still enough malt to be a beer. One of my favorite in the Leinie line
