Commercial Description:
Leinenkugel's is pleased to bring back Leinenkugel's Big Butt Doppelbock into its limited-release portfolio. The name "Big Butt" comes from the image of two goats butting heads that you see on the label. Bock means billy goat in German and Leinenkugel's Big Butt Doppelbock's name and label pokes fun at the goat's springtime mating ritual. The result is a malty, rich, full-bodied bock beer brewed with two-and six-row pale and specialty malts and two specialty hops. Like all Leinie's beers, Big Butt Doppelbock is handcrafted one batch at a time in our historic Chippewa Falls brewery.

uhh...had this next to a double and tripel, really not to good. I actually considered dumping it out because i didn’t want it anymore. Maybe i should try it someday when i haven’t been drinking phenominal beers. i dunno...this ratings tainted.

not too bad. probably one of the better brews i have had from leinie’s. pouus dark amber, clear-ish, with a decent head. light chocolate in the flavor and aroma. i think that these could go down a little too easily.

(Bottle) Pours a very dark brown color with a moderately sized tan head. Dusty aroma of cocoa and dark toffee. Taste is somewhat muted, but includes some burnt caramel. Average palate and carbonation. This is a very drinkable beer, and really is not that bad.

A very "ok" offering from Leinenkugel. Thin beer, no lacing, thin frothy head. Alcohol isn’t overpowering in the least, which is good. Brown and muddly color. Flavor is on the dull side, with some hint of carmel and malt, with mapel on the backend. The hops are there, just hidden very well. Smooth and easy. Not terrible, not a top 50, but one I’d have before an AmberBock or something of that nature.

Poured a reddish brown color with small head. Taste is sweet like a jolly rancher and has a thin mouthfeel like most leine’s beers. This beer tastes rather week for a bock beer. Drinkable beer but nothing to write home about.

12 oz bottle pours a deep brown. Aroma of sweet malt and caramel. Taste is sweet, syrupy, and rather thin.

Nice dark amber color, head is about a finger width tall but reduces to nothing within a minute or so. Taste is really unremarkable. Malty and somewhat sweet but nothing to write home about. I am a follower of Leinenkugel but this is definately nothing special.
