| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Apr 10, 2007 Dark mahagony pour with minimal head and no lacing. smooth and nutty. This is good beer. Hard to drink a beer called ’big butt", though. have to drink it in private. TheOrange (405), Kent, Ohio, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 3, 2007 Pour is red hued dark brown. the head was was medium sized but faded fast. Flavor is thinner then I like and highly carbonated. The hops are mild. The caramel malts are pleasent. An ok version. VegDisc41 (42), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/20 | Apr 2, 2007 Tap at Burrito Loco. Dark reddish brown with small head that quickly dissapated. Not much aroma to speak off and the taste was almost sickeningly fruity, like a cheap wine... grape, raisin, and berries. Mouthfeel was thinner than I would expect. Maybe I’m just not used to the style but this beer was underwhelming. Skyview (4050), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 1, 2007 Updated: Apr 3, 2007I used up my second coupon at the Leinie’s Lodge for this one. Straight from the Lodge tapper it poured a dark brown with an off white foam. Yes, it would pass the old Leinenkugel bock beer pencil test. Decent aroma of pecan, purple cirtus, some vanilla, and black cherry. Palate was somewhat watery. Flavors contained dark grape and bubblegum. A very clean finish. Sincere (145), wichita, Kansas, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 31, 2007 12 oz bottle. Pours a dark brown with a thin mocha colored head that fades quickly. Medium carbonation. The aroma is a faint earth and coffee combination. The taste is subtle for a dopplebock, with just an earthy smokiness to this slightly thin and watery brew. Fairly well balanced with the malts, and at $10.42 for a 12-pack, a decent beer to get you through a broke weekend. MrBendo (1043), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA

Aroma of roasted grains and nuts, brown sugar and raisins. Rich and nutty taste with strong toffee and caramel malt. Medium body. Slightly sticky texture. JAF737300 (797), Tampa, Florida, USA
