Commercial Description:
Leinenkugel's is pleased to bring back Leinenkugel's Big Butt Doppelbock into its limited-release portfolio. The name "Big Butt" comes from the image of two goats butting heads that you see on the label. Bock means billy goat in German and Leinenkugel's Big Butt Doppelbock's name and label pokes fun at the goat's springtime mating ritual. The result is a malty, rich, full-bodied bock beer brewed with two-and six-row pale and specialty malts and two specialty hops. Like all Leinie's beers, Big Butt Doppelbock is handcrafted one batch at a time in our historic Chippewa Falls brewery.

It was dark brown in color with a small diminishing head. The aroma was that of apple cider. It had a very complex flavor with a hint of maple syrup.

this is my favorite leinenkugel’s offering by far. brown/red color, decent aroma, and more taste than their other offerings

The bottle poured a clear, deep ruby-red beverage with a weak fizzy head that rapidly disappeared almost entirely leaving no lacing on the glass The aroma was a nice blend of sweet roasted malt with a prominent fruitiness of ripened banana. The body was medium light with soft carbonation and a light watery texture. The finish was medium in length with a slight alcohol warmth. The flavor starts off sweet and remains so throughout the finish.

Bottle. Dark brown color with a large frothy light brown head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted malt aroma. Medium body. Moderate toasted malt flavor with a light bitter finish of average duration.

12 oz bottle pours brown with a fair creamy tan head that faded fairly quick but did lace a little. Aroma is roasted nuts and caramel. Flavor is malty with that same roasted nut flavor and a touch of caramel. Palate was medium bodied and carbonated enough to make it lively on the tongue. Drinkable but nothing complex here.

Dark bronw color, and not so pleasent aroma. Head dissapears fast. Flavor is mild with nutty and chochlage flavors. A bit a bitterness thought not enouph to keep the taste buds interested. Will pass.

Dark brown with a small fizzy head that fades fast. Aroma is mild, roasted malt and a bit of spice. Bitterness up front with a backbone of light nutty malt and alcohol. A bit light bodied and a little too much carbonation but not bad.

I like big butt, I cannot lie... Brown, maybe reddish. Not much head. Caramelly, sweetish aroma. Maybe a whiff of alcohol. Maybe a bit too fizzy. Savory flavors, with a mildly hoppy finish.
