Some toasted malt aroma and a little chocolate. Flavor is nice, smooth rich roasted malt and creamy chocolate, balanced. Hard to be a doppelbock at 5.8, but the flavor is nice. Sweet and dry finish. Palate is very thin, easy drinking but exceptionally watery for the style. Decent beer, but its a Doppelbock lite at best. WillieV (191), Maryland, USA

Not really that great of a flavor. Finish is really weak. Doesnt leave you with the whole "i want another" feeling. biz82 (1328), austin, Texas, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Feb 5, 2008 Clear ruby red, small head. Cheap Regional Brewery aroma, musty and fruity with malt and a hint of banana. Sweet and thin. Slightly tart and overly alcoholic for the ABV. Chalky and a bit astringent. Mild malt, cheap caramel and light fruit flavors. Finishes saccharine and astringent. One of the worst Dopplebocks I’ve had. redgold07 (308), Irving, Texas, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 27, 2008 Dark, reddish brown appearance with an average size beige head and moderate lacing. Muted, malty aroma layered with dark fruit. Taste is roasted malt, ripe fruit, mildly nutty, with a touch of chocolate coming in near the end. Medium bodied, well carbonated mouthfeel leading to a clean, short lived finish. IlanMan (849), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 27, 2008 Had a dark brown look with no head(when i actually got it at my table). Aroma of light nut, medium hop, and maybe some nutmeg. Tastes had the same plus a little toffee. Not a bad beer. Tasted a little watered down actually. Probably won’t go out of my way to find again but it wasn’t half bad.
