No aftertaste which is kind of disappointing though, this is one of those beers you wish would linger. Overall one of my favorites. My only complaint is I can’t find it outside of the flatlands. missouribill (12), , Missouri, USA

It’s just a beer, with a fantastic flavor. I had it with a Tombstone pizza and was thoroughly impressed. Nothing about it really stands out except for my desire to drink it again. jew02 (16), Peoria, Illinois, USA

Both beers are excellent ’cheap’ Guinnesses Cfyre (2), Chicago, Illinois, USA does not count | 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Oct 25, 2004 Having sampled many microbrews from the pacific northwest, I needed a good brew that i could find locally. I was suprised by this gem. Very tasty. If you like a good bock, then you need to pick up this seasonal (curses) brew. Jayson2425 (167), Box Elder, South Dakota, USA

Wasn’t born with one but the Big Butt Dopplebock is a very good beer. Chocolately, roasty, hoppy. Nice gravity, mouthful feeling. Feels like you’re drinking something. Arguably could be currently Leinie’s best Beer. I liked the Northwoods a little better myself. Big Butt had a smooth finish and tasted great from start to finish. I think some of you out there are getting bad bottles. At least that’s the excuse most people make when they get a bad Bell’s beer. OD40oz (602), Box Elder, South Dakota, USA

I have never had a Leinenkugel beer that has been bad. This was absolutely delicious with a steak sandwich.
