(c/o HogTownHarry, w/ jerc) jerc (3861), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 20, 2009 2009-09-20. Black body with a modest chocolate brown head. Aroma is interesting, dark fruit, malt, light alcohol. Flavour is similar, dark fruit, light bitterness, very light raisin and touches of what may be oxidation. Smooth medium to full bodied palate is very lightly carbonated. Pleasant, just a touch syrupy at times, which could be helped by increased carbonation. Bottle c/o HogTownHarry yobdoog (1417), Woodridge NY, New York, USA Sep 18, 2009 This one surprised me. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, and dark chocolate and some bitterness. Flavor has some hops, dark roasted malts and bitter coffee. Pretty big, just not that smooth for me.
