Leinenkugel’s Big Eddy Imperial Stout is excellent. Pours almost black with a dark tan head. Combination of malt, chocolate, coffee, with a slight hop taste. Thanks Bert!

Thanks to Ughsmash for this brew. Pours black with a brown head. Sweet chocolate nose, caramel, and raisin. I didn’t pick up much rye. Sweet and thick on the palate, malted milk ball flavor towards the finish. Very smooth and sweet into the aftertaste.

Bottle from iowaherkeye on 01/08/08. Tasted at PP bottle shop with Brad. Black thick body. Medium tan head of small bubbles. Sweet. Lots of chocolate. Some malt and roasted caramels. Lots of flavor. Great aroma. Gets better as it warms up. Yum. I like it.

Pours thick black with a nice brown head. The aroma is malty, with a port smell and a toasted/burnt coffee smell. The lacing is excellent, the head lasted a while but is mostly diminishing. The initial flavor is back and side tongue bitters with a burnt toffee flavor, settles down and leaves a nice creamy taste in your mouth. Got a couple to age, I’ll bet the flavors will mellow out.

Big thanks to gillard for sharing this brew. Pours total blackness with nice looking mocha head and spotty lacing. The aroma is a mix of roasted malts and dark fruity esters like sweet dark grapes, raisins, boysenberries and sugar coated cherries. As it warms it smells more roasty, dark chocolate and hints of alcohol phenols. The taste comes off as, “wow this is goooood.” It starts roasty with a hit of burnt malts. The dark fruitiness enters the picture just before midway where a rich velvety chocolaty goodness shows up to bring the taste to the finish. YUM.

Bottle courtesy of hopdog. Wow, I was expecting this to be good, but not this good. This is a great brew. A little more age would make it even better, but great nonetheless. Huge, sweet, dark fruit flavor w/ hints of burnt toast and malty sweetness.

12oz bottle: Slightly disappointed with this one. Pours to a Deep black body. Was told I needed to try this, but not too impressed. Just an "ok" imperial stout for me. I pulled a fruity after taste from this one. Can’t really describe it, almost a burnt almond at first then a smokey plum aftertaste. Interesting beer not what I expected. I will re-rate this beer in hopes of a better experience.

(Bottle) Pours an opaque black body with a small brown head. Aroma of chocolate, raisins, caramel, maple syrup, and figs. Flavor of sweet chocolate, dark fruit, some brandy, light anise, and roasted malt with a slightly sticky mouthfeel and dry finish.
