Amber color with a thick head of light tan bubbles. Aroma of caramel, toast and pale malt. Well bodied. Mostly malt flavors with a touch of biting hops to keep it honest. Strong and robust, hop and malts well balanced and noticeable, fairly high ABV. Indra (2028), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA

One of the best Leinie beers made, though. Slick (1962), Thief River Falls, Minnesota, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 5, 2001 Starts off pretty good with a nice roasty maltiness that gives way to a sweet almost caramel candy taste. Thins out and finishes very unflattering. Not bad, just not that good. Wonder what it was like before Miller tapped into them? hennes (932), Fountain, Michigan, USA
