Apr 27, 2004 Ah. the picture reminds me of there old commercials, The beer so thick a pencil will stand in it. Amber color with a thick head of light tan bubbles. Aroma of caramel, toast and pale malt. Well bodied. Mostly malt flavors with a touch of biting hops to keep it honest.

Oct 26, 2000 Very nice bock as they go, a little hard to find West of the ’Big Muddy’, but well worth the hunt. Strong and robust, hop and malts well balanced and noticeable, fairly high ABV.

Jul 5, 2001 Starts off pretty good with a nice roasty maltiness that gives way to a sweet almost caramel candy taste. Thins out and finishes very unflattering. Not bad, just not that good. Wonder what it was like before Miller tapped into them?
