A dry, soapy lager malt smell permeates my nose. Not setting the stage well to warrant finishing the glass. However the first sip is better than expected. A bit of sweet caramel and toffee up front. As the flavor swirls and finished up a bland, grassey, lager malt thing takes over. Shit, for a moment I thought this might work. I can’t overly slam this brew because it really isn’t that bad. Just a bit of a tease, that’s all. ross (1709), weddington, South Carolina, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 29, 2009 Bottle from the grocery store. Got a six pack of this for pops, and I took a bottle just to try it. Pours out an orange color with a white head on it. Smell is malted barley, some rice, a little bit of corn. Taste is crisp and kind of dry, very easy to drink. It is beer, and its actually decent beer. Nice little bittering effect on it. Better than the other seasonals that have hit the shelves here from these guys. OzarkElmo (119), Poplar Bluff, Missouri, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 28, 2009 Bottle pour into pint glass. Nice moderate white head, carbonated. Clear amber color with good, definite malt aroma. Well balanced, roasted malts, caramel notes. Very slight hint of hops in the finish. Overall a good effort from Leiny- - Cheers! sparky075 (8), Michigan, USA does not count | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 28, 2009 A fine Leinie representative. Was a little disappointed with the lightness of the color. Plenty of CO2. Good head. Excellent pizza beer. bubbleflubber (893), Collinsville, Virginia, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Mar 28, 2009 Amber pour into the glass, with a thinning cap that leaves spotty lace down the glass. Aromas of cereal and lightly stale skunky bitters. The flavors are very underdone, with some soft metallic caramel malt, and a muddy, tiny sweet and sour finish. The mouthfeel is thin and watery, and makes for an overall extremely boring and underwhelming brew.... very disappointing. HonkeyBra (1341), Lemont, Illinois, USA
| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 5/20 | Mar 28, 2009 Pours a dark gold with fake white head. Aroma of stale cheerios, rancid malt, some skunk soaked in pee. Flavor is caramel ice cream topping, rancid malt, and perfume. Finish is some wax and with a bitterness similar to eating dandelion. Over carbonated. One of Leinenkugels worst, and that’s saying something. dwaggs2 (549), Lee’s Summit, Missouri, USA
