Commercial Description:
A 100 percent malted lager, “Leinie’s Classic” features Leinenkugel’s own unique blend of two-row and six-row malts and four varieties of hops. A blend of Pale, Caramel, and Munich malts offer a complex flavor, with four different hops (Cluster, Cascade, Mt. Hood, and Hallertau) to balance the malts. Acknowledging their German heritage, Leinenkugel’s brewed Classic Amber in Reinheitsgebot tradition, where the only ingredients permitted are malts, water, hops, and yeast.

Nothing here for me. Slightly below average. Very little aroma or flavor. Somewhat watery. A real disappointment.

12oz bottle from bud Josh when he was in Vegas. Amber color of course, small white head. Light nose, slightly sweet. Pretty nice flavor, a little roasty some caramel. Pretty smooth with a nice little hop bite in there. Not bad.

Surprisingly dark amber body with a decent white head that actually leaves some lacing. The aroma is fairly light, but I can sense some caramel, malt, and a touch of skunkiness. Medium palate with good carbonation. The flavor is better than the aroma. Caramel and bread sweetness up front. Only some slight hoppy bitterness towards the end. Finishes clean. A decent beer...a thirst quencher but nothing exciting.

Draft at the Red Room. Yellow brew with a rich white head that stood 2 fingers tall. Soft carbonation on the tounge. Slight sour ting in the fron and mild hop bitters fininsh. O.k lacing on the back of the glass. Citrusy notes from its hops once it warmed a little.

Copper-Amber. Fast, soapy head. Aroma: Malts, nuts. Flavor: Nuts, grain malts and a mix of hops. Bitter finish.

Clear amber with a small, bright white head that is mostly diminishing. Nutty (almond? hazelnut?) aroma with a lot of caramel malts and wet grains, perhaps a little peat. Nuttiness follows well into flavor, which turns a little grassy followed by some chewy wheat, rye bread. Carbonation level far too high.

Bottle. Dark amber, tan head with minimal lacing. Aroma of sweet malt and a little bit of roastiness, actually, but that doesn’t show up in the flavor at all. Flavor is metallic barley and astringent hops, not very pleasant. Too much carbonation. Pretty poor.
