Commercial Description:
A 100 percent malted lager, “Leinie’s Classic” features Leinenkugel’s own unique blend of two-row and six-row malts and four varieties of hops. A blend of Pale, Caramel, and Munich malts offer a complex flavor, with four different hops (Cluster, Cascade, Mt. Hood, and Hallertau) to balance the malts. Acknowledging their German heritage, Leinenkugel’s brewed Classic Amber in Reinheitsgebot tradition, where the only ingredients permitted are malts, water, hops, and yeast.

Pours an amber color with a small tan head. Has a flavorfull aroma and is easy on the palate. Goes down easy and has no bitterness or sourness.

plastic cup: Incubus concert: looks like macro, taste like macro. Clear pour, golden amber, some skunk, some malts, some wheat... one could say the beer is balanced, however its not... just weak.

Clear amber pour with no head. Aroma is grain, hints of citrus, a manure. Flavor is astringent, grainy, and a bit skunky and coppery. Palate is very thin, and finishes grainy. Very bad.

Pours a clear medium bodied amber with a white foamy head. Aromas of grain, caramel, and some hops. The flavor is a light balance of grain and hops with a little caramel in the mix. A below the average amber lager.

Pours cooper with average white head. Aroma of roasted hops. Tastes of sweet malts, with a hint of yeast, slowly gives way to a bitter hop finish that is long lasting. Simple in ingredients but still somewhat complex tasting. A good beer but not outstanding.

12 ounce bottle from Farm Fresh in Virginia Beach, VA. Can’t remember which location. Pours a clear copper color with a thin head. Fair head retention and lacing. Aroma is nutty with grainy malts. Taste is sweet, grainy malts with some caramel and nutty notes and a metallic finish. Thin-medium bodied.

12oz bottle into a pint glass. Lame selection from Leinie. Like Miller Lite but a tiny bit more malt and hops. Disappointed by one of my favorite old names.

Amber color and pours with a decent off-white head. Little to no lacing. Aroma is grassy, grainy, and malty. Flavor is sweet corn, malty, and hay. This isn’t very good but not undrinkable either. Would be a decent transition beer from swill lagers.
