| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 16, 2008 ok for what it was. certainly not "creamy" in the vein of sam smiths, or milkstout, etc. in fact, its not very creamy, and is more tan than dark. that said, the taste was fine. didnt love it, liked it. pintsize (1042), Austin, Texas, USA

Black-brown with thin white head. Has a very unigue dirty dog smell with malt in there a little (but mostly just stinky mutt). Very carbonated - overly so. Tastes sour and not in a very good way. Very thin body. No real flavor or depth and the flavor and aroma that are there - aren’t any good. Not a winner for me. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jan 10, 2008 Pours very transluscent dark brown with a small offwhite head. Light roasted malt and cardboard on the nose, mostly. Flavor is very cardboard like, with a very thin, watery body. Some roastiness is showing, but I guess a decent amount for an American Dark Lager... Not very good overall though, but drinkable. Simple and smooth. Would go well with BBQ. jfenglish (217), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 26, 2007 Bottle. Oconto Falls. Pretty average in all respects- lacked the complexity of other porters & stouts. No real chocolate or bitter coffee notes. Non-descript and non-offensive is the best way to describe. leiniejeff (10), Kansas, USA
