A beautifully dark brew that poured with the slightest hint of a tan head. A nose of roasted walnuts, licorice, and cream. The nuts are present in the palate, but the licorice is so understated that I almost questioned its presence, along with a slight dose of vanilla and stronger barley notes. Overall, quite good.

Poured from bottle...nice dark color with tan head. Aroma was very malty and roasted...I loved the smell. Not over powering and a very nice beer. Very balanced, but nothing incredibly special.

This is a pretty good dark lager. Almost like a Schwarzbier, although not as full-flavored. For some reason I really like this beer with a burger and fries. In fact, I’m going to get one now and fire up the grill!

Pours a dark coppor color with an off-white head. Aroma is of roasted malts, dark fruits, molasses, and caramel. Flavor is light with some roasted malts, nuttiness, and dark fruits up front. Finishes a little sweet with some caramel malts. Overall the flavor is the worst part of this beer. Seems watery and doesn’t have a lingering flavor.

Pours a rich brown with a tight tan head. Aroma of lightly roasted coffee beans and campfire scents. Taste of roast malts and a little bit of a coffee bite. Aftertaste left a slight bitterness from the malt character. Not too bad of an effort, still a little watery though.

Bottle - Pours a dark amber/light brown with a little off-white head. Odor is nutty, clean, malt. Taste is the same malty, nutty, a little hoppy, with slight bitterness and coffee hints in the aftertaste. It’s alright and its cheap.

Nutty and mild coffee aroma. Dark brown with thin head. Coffee, malty nuts, and mild hop flavours. Zesty palate with smooth mild bitter finish.

12 ounce bottle. Overall a pretty good dark lager. Somewhat malty taste with a creamy aftertaste. The taste for some reason seems to water down toward the end of the bottle. Not sure why.
