12 ounce bottle. Overall a pretty good dark lager. Somewhat malty taste with a creamy aftertaste. The taste for some reason seems to water down toward the end of the bottle. Not sure why.

A great dark lager. Slight roasted malt taste. Almost perfect not to much not to little. The aftertaste is slightly creamy. Not as good as a sweet stout, but as good as your going to get with a dark lager.

From the tap, sampled at a cold temperature in a restaurant shaker glass. Poured a clear reddish dark brown with a foamy tan head, decent retention, minimal amount of sticking. A light nose of roasted grains, dark caramel, a touch earthy and a subtle fruitiness. Good carbonation and a crisp, dryish, a tad thin, smooth medium-light bodied mouthfeel, more light than medium. Pleasant tasting from the tap, lightly roasted grains, sweet caramel toffee, a watery fruitiness, a very subtle citrus flavor towards the end, the hop bite is pretty mild, and a dry malty, roasted bitter finish. My only problem with the taste is that it gets a bit watery in the middle. A passable dark lager, went well with the grilled Vienna hot dog I had for lunch today.

Okay, but by no means a great dark beer. Poured to a dark brown with medium tan head that lingers ahile with okay lacing. Aroma is a nice mix of malty chocolate with a hint of caramel. Flavor is more of this, though subdued, in part due to the thin body of this beer. Finish is okay, but not waht you would hope for with a dark lager. If I’m goin gto drink much dark beer, I think I’ll go all the way to a Stout.

Bottle. Creamy sour chocolate malt aroma. Dark brown with large tan head. Molasses and chocolate malt flavor. Body a bit light and watery. A very nice tasting beer - Miller has done a good job maintaining the quality of the Leinenkugel line.

When in Wisc. must stop and have. Pretty straight forward...dark pour and ok tan head. Smells of the toasting, alittle burnt. Weak choc taste, small sweet hit and bitter. Not great but soild. Drink it at a warmer temp.

pours a nice coffee-brown. head is nice and creamy, but the falls flat. The aroma is barely noticeable, palate is thin with flavors of caramel and mild coffee
