Flavors of molasses and caramel; really too sweet for my taste. Not for me I’m afraid. schalicto (1), hugo, Minnesota, USA does not count | 5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 20/20 | Oct 9, 2006 It pours like the perfect beer. A small but appreciated light head and a dark thick body. aarossell (151), Grandville, Michigan, USA

Especially nice considering that Leinenkugel’s are usually a bit mild. It’s hard to ruin a creamy dark though. Thick, nice head, great aroma / flavor. Finishes as good as it starts. grzydj (2), Sioux Falls, South Dakota, USA does not count | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Sep 7, 2006 Excellent beer. Smooth body, with a slight chocolate undertone. Not really creamy, but overall a good find. stegosaurus (1882), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA

Im a sucker for black lagers, and well, hedonicaly this left a lot to be desired. It has some thin roasted notes, and a light breadyness. TechMyst (166), Fox River Grove, Illinois, USA
