| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Apr 7, 2006 no memorable aroma, but a nice darker color than others in their line. as with most of their beer, too carbonated for great taste, but could be considered decent/good spclerk (47), Minnesota, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Apr 2, 2006 Smells OK, but nothing special, sort of a standard macro smell without anything very offensive, maybe some sweet roasted malts. Looks decent in the glass, slight white head goes away pretty quickly leaving a little lacing, nice very dark translucent mahogany colour. Flavour is fair, some good sweet dark malt showing through, along with some grassy-tasting hops. A little bit too thin with too much carbonation for my taste -- but overall, one of the better Leinenkugel’s varieties. HumuloneRed (750), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 22, 2006 12 oz. Bottle. Pours a clear dark brown with red highlights and a creamy tan head and lacing. The nose is sulfur with some malt in it. Its some malt in the flavor but mainly a citric and earthy bitter hop bite. Not very creamy as the name would suggest. Average beer. ninobrown (16), USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 12, 2006 Very dark brown with a creamy off-white head. Looks good in the glass. Light sweet malt aroma. Sweet and malty but not especially "dark." Just a hint of burnt caramel or molasses. Hops not very prominet, but enough to produce a well balanced taste. Might be a bit overcarbonated - too much sting on the tongue. Pretty darn good, especially for Leine’s. I don’t think I would call this a dunkel, though. tcruicks (282), Bloomington, Indiana, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 27, 2006 Brown beer with thick tan/white bubbly head. Nice aroma, but flavour is very plain, maybe some caramel, but mostly just bitter and malty. Overall, its drinkable but not special for anyhitng other than an interesting aroma. pnista (1008), Bloomington, Indiana, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 27, 2006 Clear dark red-brown with a light tan head. It smells like bread with a hint of raspberry and malt. The palate is thin and refreshing, as a lager should be. The flavor is a little plain with sweet malty yeasty flavors over a bit of roastiness. Hopped a bit more than most lagers, not bad, but not fantastic. Lewdass (12), Illinois, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 24, 2006 Pours pretty dark, nice beige head. Very smooth beer, with a thin body. The best leinenkugel offering i’d say, tho this may not be saying much. Caramel taste, the aroma aint bad. not too shabby, id just rather have more body
