Nose is very flat-all I smell is glass from the pint. First flavor notes are malt and a little coffee in the background. I don’t know what to say other than that there is nothing "creamy" about this. This is the Blatz of Dunkels: I can’t complain about it, but it is lacking in taste. So very, very mellow and bland. If you like "dark" beers that don’t offend, you have found your beer. Blah. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jun 17, 2004 Very dark with little to no head. Nothing special in its smell. Goes down easy with a faint creamy aftertaste. Not very heavy or bitter. A good beer to consume in mass quantity when you are looking for some flavor. SledgeJr (2962), Omaha, Nebraska, USA

I drank this at night outside in the bottle in the bark, so I’ll take your word on how it looks. Good texture.Good flavor for a mass-produced beer. robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA

A little bitterness... but a nice easy dark beer to drink in quantity. reebrater (8), Kansas, USA does not count | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jun 11, 2004 Easy drinking dark, pleasing aroma and flavor, much smoother than it appears from its opaque pour and creamy head. A good dark to give to someone that doesn’t like dark beer. brewshthereen (316), Oregon, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 3, 2004 From reading the reviews of this beer it seems to be a brew well liked. I thought it was lacking flavor and depth. It poured beautifully, but in the end I just wasn’t impressed. Very easy to drink I will give it that. This would make a good intro for someone new to dark beers.
