Little or no bitterness with just a touch of hops in the aftertaste. CaptainCougar (5494), Rockville, Maryland, USA

Body is thin and could definitely use some more sweetness. Decent hop balance, but just not what I expect in something called "Creamy Dark." drinkbeer (280), Redondo Beach, California, USA

Smells like coffee, with a similar dark appearance. The taste is, ah, a little weak. If my dad buys this again next Thanksgiving, I'll drink it, but if I were to buy other Leinie's beers, I would go for the Northwood Lager or Big Butt Doppelbock (neither of which are anything near spectacular, just better than this). Nice dark color, equally dark chocolately flavor, mild carbonation. Good n' tasty. alcoholica (128), Dublin, Ohio, USA

Dark pour, tan head. Decent maltiness and some hops. Chocolate and caramel. Good bang for the buck beer. brewblackhole (1381), Muskego, Wisconsin, USA
