Had this one at the Leinenkugel’s brewery. Consistent quality batch-to-batch and quite smooth overall.

Bottle. Pours dark brown whith a creamy tan head that fizzles out slowly. Smells nutty, carmely, and roasty. Tastes sweet, malty, nutty carmely and roasty. Follows with some bitter, but nice thick body leaves a long aftertaste. Very pleasant.

Bottle, pours brown with an amber hue and light tan head. Heavy roasted malt aroma. Similarly roasted malt dominated flavor, which isn’t a bad thing. Sweet, smooth and crisp beer. Nothing spectacular but certainly enjoyable to drink.

Inky dark amber pour - very dark beer with a decent off-white head. Aroma of toasted grain, malt, just a hint of hops. Flavor is mostly roasted grain with chocolate and coffee overtones, finishes dry with very light hops. This one is really done right – there is enough roasted grain here to dominate the flavor, but it avoids being overly malty and sweet, like so many bocks. Lighter than Guinness but similar in flavor. A really fine brew.ith

Bottle. Poured a dark brown with a small off white head. Aroma of roasted malt. Flavor is creamy with a hint of chocolate. A little thin on the palate.

Pours a deep dark brown. Aroma is sweet, and good roasty malt. Flavor tastes a bit coppery, but otheriwse nice and toasty. A hint of chocolately flavor, but otherwise, a solid dark lager.

tastes a little thin - pours dark brown/chocolate color - flavors of richly roasted malt. I really wanted to like this beer but it is just average
