12 oz bottle. Pours a deep brown with a hint of golden highlights. There is a frothy off white/cream colored head that falls to a nicely lacing ring. The aroma is heavy on the dark malts. That is about all i get out of the nose on this beer. Flavor is full of nicely roasted malts with a hint of coffee. Very smooth and finishes really clean. This might be my favorite of their year round beers.

Draft at the Leines Lodge in Chippewa Falls, WI. 7oz Glass. Very dark brown that it is almost black with an off white head. Smooth dard roasted notes in aroma. Great tasting brew. Nice lacing on the glass when finished.

Pours a deep brown color with off-white, foamy head. Very smooth, creamy lager, with the flavors of roasted malts and an almost coffee-like taste. Surprisingly smooth palate making this quite an easy beer to drink. Another fantastic beer from Leinenkugels.

Extremely dark brown color......almost completely opaque. Somewhat thin, though fluffy head......very bold aroma of roasted malt. Front contains a much lighter malt flavor than the aroma would suggest. Creamy mouthfeel, with just a hint of crispness......nice roasted malt flavor in the back. Though lagers will always be lighter than ales, this dark lager makes a solid effort to cross styles.

Not bad. Dark with a tan head. Roasted malts with slight creamy feel. A medium dark beer with similar palate as other Leinenkugel beers.

Had this on tap at my local Hooters bar. It was the only decent sounding beer they had so I gave it a whirl. It’s Leinenkugel, so I half exected it to be a watery mess, but it actually wasn’t that bad. Some slight coffee and malt on the nose, with a surprisingly good appearance. The flavor was a bit watery, but not as much as I’d expected. Overall a very drinkable dark beer, that went very well with the fried pickles(mmm!) i had.

A decent beer from a brewer I am not terribly fond of. Pours brown with tan dissipating head. Tastes of dark roasted malts, a little creamy in texture. Overall not bad.
