Very close to Guinness in flavor and appearance. A good fill in for Guinness when you can’t spend 10 bucks on a 6. vonreich (1), Sioux Falls, South Dakota, USA does not count | 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | May 23, 2008 I love this beer. It’s much like the thick German beers. Thick, dark beer is the way beer should be. Not the watery excuses for beer typically brewed here. One should be able to taste their beer. swanmann (310), Norman, Oklahoma, USA

A creamy, dark lager is something I’m not sure if I’ve had before. I’m a fan of Scotch and Brown ales. The tastes and feels similar. Sweet with hints of chocolate(?) lactose(?) Heavy, yeastey body of a lager. Highly acidic. Falconseye8 (525), Cartersville, Georgia, USA

It grows on you. Better in my opinion with a meal than a stand alone after hours drinker. Nice chocolate hint in there also. brandonlee99 (31), Wisconsin, USA

It won’t put Guiness out of business but it was smooth, creamy and pretty flavorfull. If you like dark beers with low hops (which I do) this will go down easy. I may have to change my opinion of this brand now that I have tried two I really like.
