Unique69crazy (118), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Mar 23, 2008 Bland aroma doesn’t leave much to the imagination, however, it is a good warmer bodied brew. Spirits of toasted coffee beans with a dab of creamer is a way I would describe the taste. Chalky aftertaste will engulf your mouth for a brief while afterwards. For Leinenkugel’s , this is still one of my favorites from the company though.
Dezzilu (197), Whitmore Lake, Michigan, USA Dec 29, 2008 As one would expect from looking at the photo (stage left) this beer appears to be incredibly inviting: dark, dark, dark color with a thick white head. The aroma as well is of roasted nuts which takes the intrigue to the next level. Unfortunately this is where the compliments end. The taste was thin, slightly bitter, and had a peculiar element that didn’t seem natural. The aftertaste as well showed much of the same. These folks at Leinenkugels appear to really want to make a great beer, but they haven’t found the right combination just yet. This is a lousy beer. lithy (560), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Dec 14, 2008 Pours a dark ruby brown with a thin tan head. Sweet nutty malty aroma. Taste is nutty with a nitro like creaminess and a light bitter finish. drjay44 (254), Colorado, USA Dec 8, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pours a thin head over a clear dark body....nose slightly spicy....slight non specific spices.....thin light mouth feel. 12/07/2008 kosko20 (213), Bemidji, Minnesota, USA Dec 6, 2008 Decent brew. Pretty simple, easy to drink. Thin bodied, smooth, not creamy. popilius (61), Chicagoland, Illinois, USA Nov 27, 2008 Had this one at the Leinenkugel’s brewery. Consistent quality batch-to-batch and quite smooth overall.
