Overall Impression:
Decent enough I guess, a little too sweet for my tastes. Not bad, but not great. Middle of the road beer, middle of the road score.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Mar 11, 2009 12 oz bottle from trade with daknole. pours a translucent medium brown color with a small off-white head. The aroma is sweet with caramel, malts, cardboard and cotton candy. The taste is overtly sweet with maple, caramel, Frangelico and brown sugar. The mouthfeel was a bit thin and watery. The finish was medium in duration and sweet with lingering maple. Overall: A very interesting and tasty brew, probably made to appeal to the BMC loving masses, but still it is worthy of a try. Pours clear, medium brown color, light tan head. Aroma of chocolate hazelnuts, vanilla, and coffeeshop sweetness. Light bodied. Chemical sweetness, like hazelnut syrup on the shelf of a coffeeshop. Hints of vanilla. Not too pleasant. At least I have falling snow to look at. alexsdad06 (1103), Ohio, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 28, 2009 12 oz. bottle shared by shigadeyo. Pours a pale amber color with a small off white head. The aroma was roasted malt, nutty, sweet caramel, and bigger than I expected. The flavor was big caramel, roast, some apple, vanilla, and a touch of coffee. The problem was that it seemed very artificial and chemical driven instead of arising from the brewing process. kiefdog (1634), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Feb 24, 2009 12oz bottle from Willow Bend Liquors (Tampa, FL). Pours a generally clear dark brown color with reddish amber highlights and a thin off-white head that settles quickly. Aroma is a medicinal note to it, much like hair conditioner or hair product, with some hints of nuts and malt. Flavor is malt, nuts and vanilla with some burnt toast and medicinal notes. Light body with a watery finish. Maybe I bought a bad bottle but this was a drain pour (much like dm9831 said). Cornfield (4972), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 22, 2009 Bottle provided by the inevitable dm9831, carefully poured into my Choc Beer glass - Amber bodied with a short-lived head, this has an aroma of cocoa powder and sweet nutty malt. A splash of caramel is added to the flavor. Interesting. I took a gander of some of the other ratings, and it seems we’ve all been drinking different beers.
