| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Dec 18, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear dark brown with a half finger beige head that faded fast. Nose is malt and roasted nuts. Taste is lighter than the aroma with the same nutty characteristics. Light, fairly flat mouth feel. Meh, there are better nut browns out there. blipp (1685), Newark, New Jersey, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Dec 17, 2008 Bottle. Pours red amber with a thin head. Malty sweet aroma with brown sugar, graham cracker and vanilla. The body is a bit thin. The flavor has hazelnut, vanilla, caramel and maple syrup. A bit on the artificially sweet side, but not that bad. Swalden28 (1512), McKinney, Texas, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Dec 17, 2008 Bottle thanks to wife. Pours a clear dark amber, off white head. Aroma of nuts. Flavor , well,, taste like vanilla extract was added, I guess it could be considered a maple taste when blended with some toasted grain. Has a slightly odd aftertaste as well. Mouth feel is light body, very high carbonation, watery. FROTHINGSLOSH (2030), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 15, 2008 Deep amber appearance with a medium size, off white head and modest lacing. Subdued, toasted malt aroma with maple and a trace of vanilla. Maple resurfaces in the taste , dominating the mild nuttiness and providing a sweetness that was a little over the top. Medium bodied, moderately carbonated mouthfeel with a lingering finish. ansermadide (516), Kyle, Texas, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Dec 13, 2008 Sample at December 12, 2008 Beer Club meeting. Very clear!... well carbonated. Light brown color below a fastly-fizzing head. Nutty brown ale aroma, thin. Flavor is very nutty, very much of hazelnut. Thin, light body, almost watery. Slight metallic flavor. My tongue got numb after drinking this... started burning my throat, too. Strange. kidmartinek (986), austin, Texas, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Dec 12, 2008 A darker colored amber lager that pours with a 2 inch off-white head, but doesnt last long. The aroma is of a lot of raw sugar and some toffee. The flavor is like toffee, cream, nut candy. Doesnt really remind me of beer much. Finish is rich and carmel-like.
