| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 15, 2008 Deep amber appearance with a medium size, off white head and modest lacing. Subdued, toasted malt aroma with maple and a trace of vanilla. Maple resurfaces in the taste , dominating the mild nuttiness and providing a sweetness that was a little over the top. Medium bodied, moderately carbonated mouthfeel with a lingering finish. ansermadide (521), Kyle, Texas, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Dec 13, 2008 Sample at December 12, 2008 Beer Club meeting. Very clear!... well carbonated. Light brown color below a fastly-fizzing head. Nutty brown ale aroma, thin. Flavor is very nutty, very much of hazelnut. Thin, light body, almost watery. Slight metallic flavor. My tongue got numb after drinking this... started burning my throat, too. Strange. kidmartinek (998), austin, Texas, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Dec 12, 2008 A darker colored amber lager that pours with a 2 inch off-white head, but doesnt last long. The aroma is of a lot of raw sugar and some toffee. The flavor is like toffee, cream, nut candy. Doesnt really remind me of beer much. Finish is rich and carmel-like. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 11, 2008 Average on every level...crystal clear hazelnut with a small walnut colored head. Aroma is of pecan, almond, and caramel. Flavor is sweet malt and chestnut...fairly thin palate makes this a sessionable brew. Drinkable, but not that good. BrewDad (2370), Olympia, Washington, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Dec 11, 2008 Dark copper brown body with a light off white head. The aroma has some sweet cake donuts and caramel. There is also some light apple. Overall, this is sweet smelling. The taste is strong hazel nut and caramel. There is some light milk chocolate along with some raisins. A decent brew overall, but a little too sweet. brewblackhole (1384), Muskego, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/20 | Dec 10, 2008 Offputting hazel nut aroma, very artificial in nature, despite it sclaim of natural additions. A little of the maple comes through, but that nut is overwhelming. Taste is the same with a acrid finish, beer looks fine, has a smooth palate. Trying to give away the second bottle I bought
