Commercial Description:
The new amber-toned brew features roasted malt character, with English two-row malts provide the beer with a maple aroma and pronounced chocolate, caramel and hazelnut top notes.

12 oz bottle. Pours burnt orange with small, quickly dissipating beige head. The aroma is caramel and toasted malts with a little bit of sweet smokiness and, as the description says, hazelnut. The hazelnut really takes off in the flavor, which is extremely nutty. There is also caramel and a spritzy astringent deal that turns me off. Chalky, nutty finish and aftertaste. Could use a fuller body and more robustness in general.

2008 Bottle - When I first opened this, it smelled like rotten garbage, it needs to air out before judging aroma ..it gets slightly better...second aroma is like when you walk into a Baskin Robbins ans they just finished the waffle cones, with some sweet malt, grain and hazlenut torani syrup, flavour is sweet and nutty and horribly artificial, finishes with a lingering toffee flavour that coats the mouth...

Pour is a clear dark brown with an average tan head. Aroma is sweet and nutty. Flavor deffinatly starts out on the nutty side and after the swallow more of a malt is left on the tounge. Its not offensive as that might seem. Very creamy beer but easy to drink. This would prob go real well with a nice glazed ham.

On tap at Buffalo Wild Wings in Chanhassen. 22 oz glass appears transparent brown with a short lived head. The aroma is a bit nutty and perhaps some hints of maple and cinnamon. The flavor is much less defined with some sweetness here and there. Washes down the hot sauce.

12 oz bottle. I enjoyed this beer. Has a flavor that is mostly experienced through the nostrils when you drink it. Caramal, brown sugar, and a nutty flavor dominate this beer. This beer will fill your nostrils with these flavors as you drink it. Overall, I would say that I enjoyed this beer.

12oz. Bottle: Aroma of nuts, hazelnut, skunk, vegetables, canned tuna fish, and some malts. Poured orange/amber/hint of copper in color with a tiny tan head that disappeared quickly. Clear. Sparkling. Flavor is slightly bitter. Tastes of nuts, hazelnut, malts, slight brown sugar, and maple syrup. Medium body. Thin, dry texture. Lightly sweet, nutty finish.

Pours a clean amber color with a small tan head. Not too impressed with this one. Aroma of roasted nuts and caramel. Very sweet intial flavor that is not very pleasant with a lightly astringent finish. Extremely thin. Basically carbonated water with some flavoring.

Bottle: Chestnut brown with a head that dissapated quickly. Mild aroma is toasty and nutty with a very deep sweetness. Tastes nutty and roasty, perhaps a bit of toffee. Again, there is a deep sweetness. Some floral stuff too.
