Jul 1, 2003 I love Leinie's, but like many other American brewers trying to make a hefeweizen, I don't know why they bother. Doesn't have the real body of a hefeweizen. Looks more like a Krystalweizen, and tastes more like a light beer.

Mar 13, 2003 Draft. A good approximation of a true german wheat. Hazy yellow. Full, sticky white head. Clove aroma and flavors blended well with banana. Light to medium bodied with moderate aftertaste.

Nov 19, 2002 Weak spiciness, not like most German-brewed Heffes. No banana/bubblegum hints noticed. But it looked good in the glass and was refreshing, but not a great heffeweize.

May 28, 2002 One of the top domestic hefes. They haven’t brewed this oone in some time and I hope they bring it back. Light straw color with a tall foamy white head. Typical clove and banana aroma and flavor. I believe they used a derivative of ’weihenstephaner’ yeast to obtain these.

May 28, 2002 The unfiltered beer brings a very different flavor and texture to the table. I would recomend Wheat beer to any one and everyone!

May 20, 2002 Nice thick head golden color, light body. Musty weak taste. Why are the Leinencrapals getting such high ratings?
