They haven’t brewed this oone in some time and I hope they bring it back. Light straw color with a tall foamy white head. Typical clove and banana aroma and flavor. I believe they used a derivative of ’weihenstephaner’ yeast to obtain these. ClarkVV (3578), Allston, Massachusetts, USA

What there is, has some soap, a bit of bitterness and maybe a squirt of lemon. Flavor is mildly sour, hint of lemon, no esters, banana, clove. Just a mildly sour, bland wheat flavor, with plenty of carbonation. Not fresh tasting, and more soapiness on the finish. At least it’s not too sweet. Gusler (2655), Tucson, Arizona, USA

The beer pours a light “Chill Hazed” golden amber color, the head portly in size, the texture creamy and the color an off white, as it dissipates a fine concealing sheet of lace forms on the glass. Nice touch of wheat and yeast in the nose, sweet and light citrus as in lemon like noticed, “No” I don’t do the “Lemon Thing”, start quite sweet, and top light to medium in its feel. Finish is crisp in its acidity, hops pleasant and understated, dry aftertaste, a pleasing to the palate beer as it’s still in the mid 100’s as the old temperature goes. 1FastSTi (2580), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 16, 2005 Sampled on tap. This beer pours to a dense creamy thin white head that sits atop a lightly hazy light golden body. The aroma is nicely wheaty. Nutmeg or mace. Light banana’s foster. The flavor is white and richly banana’s foster. Unknown spice. Light toastiness. The palate is medium light bodied with a smooth mouthfeel. Not too bad and very drinkable despite the low scores. Lemon and thin wheatiness, grassiness. No Hefe to speak of on initial taste, but as it warms some banana esters sneak through. MaxPower (961), St. Louis, Missouri, USA
