A full, clove-like flavor and unique banana aroma are reward enough for mastering this tongue twister of a name.

The unfiltered beer brings a very different flavor and texture to the table. I would recomend Wheat beer to any one and everyone!

One of the top domestic hefes. They haven’t brewed this oone in some time and I hope they bring it back. Light straw color with a tall foamy white head. Typical clove and banana aroma and flavor. I believe they used a derivative of ’weihenstephaner’ yeast to obtain these.

(Draught @ Papago Brewery)

The beer pours a light “Chill Hazed” golden amber color, the head portly in size, the texture creamy and the color an off white, as it dissipates a fine concealing sheet of lace forms on the glass. Nice touch of wheat and yeast in the nose, sweet and light citrus as in lemon like noticed, “No” I don’t do the “Lemon Thing”, start quite sweet, and top light to medium in its feel. Finish is crisp in its acidity, hops pleasant and understated, dry aftertaste, a pleasing to the palate beer as it’s still in the mid 100’s as the old temperature goes.

Heavy dose of cloves and wheaty sweetness but the orange peel factor seems overdone. I like its dry palate. For a retired beer, this one seemed to withstand time. Coopers in Scranton, PA has it on bottle. I really liked this one despite the maker!

Draft. A good approximation of a true german wheat. Hazy yellow. Full, sticky white head. Clove aroma and flavors blended well with banana. Light to medium bodied with moderate aftertaste.

Weak spiciness, not like most German-brewed Heffes. No banana/bubblegum hints noticed. But it looked good in the glass and was refreshing, but not a great heffeweize.

One of my favorite hefeweizens. Nice golden appearance and hits the palate like AJ Hawk hits a RB.

Has a summery citrusy wheat spiciness which stands out among other hefe’s.
