It has a light body, slightly sweet from the honey. It has a clean finish and is by far my favorite American beer. shigadeyo (2263), Harrison, Ohio, USA

The aroma is pale malt with a touch of honey. The flavor of the wheat malt is noticeable in the finish. This beer has a light body with an ample amount of carbonation. It is quite refreshing and not overly sweet. I’ve always enjoyed Leinenkugel’s beers and they sure make some great beers for the Summer time including this one as well as the Berry Weiss, Summer Shandy, and Sunset Wheat!

Mix-It-Up (Recommended by Leinenkugel’s): Create a Honey Bear by mixing Leinenkugel’s Berry Weiss with Leinenkugel’s Honey Weiss. it’s a "Honey" of a "Berry" treat! My wife and I tried this on 6/02/2007 and it was actually pretty good. The Honey Weiss isn’t as sweet an not fruity at all, so it really blends nicely with the sweet, fruity Berry Weiss to create a balanced, enjoyable beer with ample blackberry flavor with some honey and subtle floral flavors as well without being overly sweet. Plus, the resulting color is an interesting peach color with an off-white head. The mix of the two beers together is probably better than either one of them are on their own - true synergy! Go ahead and give it a try!

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | May 31, 2007 An average wheat beer that reminds me of an american pilsner, with a lemon dropped inside of it. The smell is good, but not strong, the head is nonexistant, and the taste lacks complexity. Too clean, and too quick to finish. Good refreshing beer though for hot days NachlamSie (1657), Tennessee, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | May 21, 2007 Bottle. Pours very light, clear, pale yellow with a small white head. The nose has strong corn up front with apple juice, paper, and a bit of citrus. The honey finally becomes apparent when I take a sip. This seems clean enough, I suppose. I don’t pick up much wheat character at all. This is mediocre at best. Not offensive, just watery. This beer is great for watching a game, or sitting around a campfire. With summer on it’s way, this will definitely take over my fridge. Crisp honey taste that’s strong enough without being overly assertive. One of the best. yayforbeer (648), Orange Park, Florida, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 20, 2007 This may be one of the better American Wheat beers I have had. That’s not to say this is good, which it certainly is not. It’s a sad commentary on a beer style when a brew as mediocre and dull as this one can be called one of the better ones. Pale golden beer with a big foamy white head that drops away to nothing in an instant. Aroma is musty grain. Flavor of wheat, slightly sweet, with a little touch of spice. Not awful, but no better than mediocre. xav33 (313), Midland, MI, Michigan, USA

12 oz bottle
Moderate pour in an English Pint
Recent brewing, stung by 05/07
Poured a clear yellow with a large fizzy somewhat diminishing white head.
Smelt of moderate light bread, honey.
Taste was upfront light sweet bread and honey followed by a light to moderate bitter doughy white bread and light sweet honey and lemon twang on a short finish.
Palate was light bodied, oily, and softly carbonated.
Overall, this seemed like a very insipid and uninspired beer. It has some flavor, but nothing amazing. AOF (282), Naperville, Illinois, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 17, 2007 Pale golden color, slightly cloudy. Nose is grainy with lots of fruit and honey. LIght bodied and refreshing, however this is nothing better than the average summer beer.
