Aged longer than most American lagers for a smooth, rich flavor and a beautiful deep golden color.

Golden color, somewhat bready scent. Bitterness, but not a hop type of bitter, more from the alcohol, or just poor brewing. Won't be drinking this again.

Peach colored light looking ale with no actual head at all. Smells bad from the start. Skunk. The flavor is much better than the smell. Very watery.

A fuller bodied beer than the Leine's original. It's good. If you like original Leine's this is even better.

Good clean American beer. Smooth flavor but not offensive. Nice finish. Nice all year round beer.

Color is yellow with some bubbly action within and has a thin white head that retains well. Some spotty lace sticks. Smell is of grassy floral hops and some sweet malts but faint. Taste starts hoppy, but in a light medicinal way and has some low level malts but barely there. Finishes somewhat bitter and somewhat dry, nothing really stands or lingers. Fell is light bodied and a bit thin and watered down. Its an OK lager at best.

Heavier than the Leinies standard ale, this one tastes like it has a bit more "umph" to it than the straight up Leinies. Totally recommend trying it. It's drinkable, and not too filling.

Back in college (University of Minnesota), Leinenkugel's was the "expensive" "quality" beer served first at parties. I can see why that is, relative to Bud-Miller-Coors, but this is still a pretty average offering. Nice aroma suggestive of citrus, wheat, and clove (very hefe-like), with a deep dark yellow color to distinguish it from the lighter beers. Both hops and malt come out cleanly in the flavor, though a lingering bitterness reveals a few unpleasantries as well. The palate is the weakest thing here, being somewhat flat. Within its style (if "American Standard" is truly it) this is quite good; but then, the competition isn't exactly stiff.

Light malt and slight bitter flavor. Though this is one of the best from this brewer, it is not that great. Needs more malt.
