| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 22, 2007 Wow, can’t believe it. I found one remaining six-pack of Leinies Northwoods at a BP station near Hayward, WI. Last chance to rate this brew before it is gone. Pours a pale golden amber with a small foamy head. Head dissolves fast to a fair lacing. Aroma of a hint of lemon, front yard lawn, a little spice and roasted barley. Hop flavor is a little sweet with a clean cut finish. Sorry to hear that Leinies is retiring this one. I remember when this product was first introduced as Leinenkugel’s Limited back in the late 1980s. adrian910ss (1435), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

Taste is slightly floral with grainy and yeast overtones. Not bad but nothing special either. Optigon (562), Bloomington, Indiana, USA

Some malty character, but balanced as well. Smooth mouthfeel, with a dry finish. No off flavors, and a pretty decent beer. Soonah (975), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Dec 28, 2006 Pours with a deeper than usual golden color. The head is white and thin. More attractive than most pale lagers, but that really isn’t saying much, is it? The aroma is yeasty and grainy. This brew is supposed to have been aged longer giving it more of a mellow flavor with less bite and that does come through. Can’t help but feel like I’m drinking what amounts to a souped up Budwesier though. Tmoney99 (4792), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
