Pours a dark golden color with decent carbonation and a medium thin white head. Thin rings of lacing. Aroma of grassy hops and earthy malt. Light-bodied and clean on the tongue with a sweet malt and honey flavor at first, then more grassy hops shortly after. The finish is clean and lightly sweet but with a hint of hops in the aftertaste. Nothing stands out either good or bad about this Lager, it’s pretty much average all around. Ron (1035), Rochester, New York, USA

I wish they sold it here. A nice sweet honey aroma with much of the same in the malty body. Some hops at the end. Very refreshing and enjoyable. FistFullOfCats (162), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Feb 6, 2006 Bottle. Pours honey gold with a super small soapy white head. Aroma of corn, sugar, dandelions. Initial taste of honey, sour sugar, corn. Honey aroma becomes prevalent as it warms. Finishes pretty clean, with corn, barley, a hint of sour…something. Over all not bad. Similar to what Saranac tries to do, but far superior. Cornfield (4966), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 26, 2006 This is a respectable lager, far superior to those of Leinie’s owner, SABMiller. Golden bodied with a creamy head that laces well, it’s got a sweet bread malt aroma with a suggested hop bitterness. The flavor is sweet malt with a hint of honey and a light, grassy hop finish.

Of course, it’s a lager, another tribute to the lager-loving Ron. Not a bad one either, dark yellow - orange, hoppy grassy aroma. Malt, hops, carbonation in the palate, with a neutral finish.
